The Ultimate Spring Gift Edit: Seasonal Picks To Add A Little Colour & Texture To Your Home This Spring

The days are getting longer, the light is softer, and the first signs of spring are finally starting to show. With the snowdrops already out in the garden and the daffodils just starting to push up through the ground, there’s finally an end in sight to what seems to have been the greyest, coldest start to the year that I can remember for a long time.
As we step into spring, there’s a definite shift towards lighter, brighter tones—both in nature and in the things we surround ourselves with. Fresh greens, soft pastels, and crisp, clear glass feel like a breath of fresh air after months of cosy, deep winter hues. This season, we’re drawn to elegant glassware, perfect for lighter evenings and spring gatherings, as well as gifts that bring a little colour and joy into everyday moments. Whether it’s a delicate bud vase, a beautifully crafted drinking glass, or a thoughtful selection of treats in a fresh, seasonal palette, there’s something special about embracing the change in seasons with gifts that feel as uplifting as the longer days ahead.
This season glassware is a big trend and at this time of year I love to fill little glasses all over the house with bulbs of different varieties. It makes the most stunning and simple spring decoration. We hunted far and wide for the perfect glassware brand for gifting and knew straight away when we'd found it. Designed in London and hand blown in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco using recycled glass, these glasses and bowls by The Atlas Works make a really unusual and thoughtful gift at this time of year.
Our Glassware starts at just £5, you can view our full Atlas Works Collection here.
At this time of year I like to slowly start to introduce spring colours into my home. A great way to add a little colour into the kitchen is with ceramics, at the moment I've got my eye on these hand painted Gingham Mugs in Ginger.
Hand Painted Gingham Mugs in Ginger £11.50
These mugs make a wonderful gift either on their own or paired with our handmade Water Hyacinth Coasters. (I'm obsessed with these coasters at the moment, we've got a new plywood table in our kitchen and these have been the perfect solution to protecting the table and looking stylish at the same time)
Whilst we're talking about great ceramics for gifting, I must mention this beautiful bespoke collection made for us by the wonderful Anwen from Clai. A slightly higher price point than the mugs above, but absolutely worth it as these pieces are each hand thrown and glazed with each piece being completely unique. If you are looking to create a really memorable gift you really can't go wrong with something from this collection. I would be absolutely delighted to receive one of these small bowls for my birthday and this is exactly the sort of gift I like to send to a friend for a birthday, perhaps paired with a little bar of chocolate and beautifully wrapped in a little gift box - it will be a real pleasure to receive.
Hand Thrown Stoneware Bowl by Clai £22
In this collection we also have this beautifully tactile jug, which is perfect in Spring for small Spring flowers and buds. It also makes a great little just for milk, cream or sauces.

Staying with the kitchen theme, (although these would look lovely hanging anywhere in your home) I'm a big fan of these Twig Sticks as an unusual gift for a stylish friend or family member. As with the ceramics above these tampico brooms have been handmade exclusively for us using our favourite combination of colours. If you're looking to put together a birthday gift box for someone who has everything, one of these colourful brushes is the perfect addition, a wonderful example of craftsmanship, these are a wonderful contemporary item made using traditional techniques. I have one of these hanging in our kitchen on the wall above the table where we eat all of our meals and I love the pop of colour and texture that it brings to the area.
Twig Sticks (Tampico Brooms) £26
NB: these sell out super fast and can take a little while to come back into stock as they are handmade in such small batches. So if they're showing out of stock, make sure you just check back regularly.
To finish off I'd like to shine the spotlight on two of my favourite Gift Boxes for this time of year. First up is the 'Lucy', named after Lucy Gough the author of 'The Homestyle Handbook' which is included, this really is the epitome of a gift that is both beautiful to receive and useful too. It's the time of year when so many of us are thinking of a little upgrade or move around to our homes and this gift box has everything you need to get you started. A book full of ideas and projects, a set of my favourite hand thrown ceramics to be your first step in creating something new and a pair of beautifully soft gingham napkins to add that much needed dash of Spring brightness. If you know someone who has a Spring Birthday or has just moved into a new home then this is the gift for you.
The Lucy makes a particularly wonderful gift for your wife (hint hint), but if she's not into interior design or home styling then another equally wonderful gift is our new Flora gift box, like the one above this is a really luxurious present, a very special treat of a gift that straight out of the box can be used to create something really special that can also be treasured for years to come. Everything in our Flora edit combines to be beautiful, practical and expertly crafted to last.
These are just a few of my favourites that are inspiring me fo gifts at this time of year. If you'd like to have a browse of our full collections head either straight to our Ready Made Gift Boxes or spend some time Creating Your Own Gift Box. Of course if you're also feeling inspired to buy something for yourself, just choose what you are looking for and don't add the gift box.
